"Dubai International Wood 2012" Exhibition To Attract 8 Thousand Visitors (April 2, 2012)

 

 

The region leading wood exhibition, "Dubai International Wood & Wood Machinery Show 2012" I set to open its doors tomorrow with the participation of 420 international companies representing 34 countries. This year event will be held from 3rd to 5th April at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre on an area of 9000 square meters with more then 8,000 visitors.



As an international exhibition specialized in timber and the equipment, the 7th "Dubai International Wood & Wood Machinery Show 2012" will present the latest products and technologies in the global timber sector through 420 international companies who will showcase their products and innovations in the wood industry, machinery and equipments.



The exhibition will provide an opportunity to learn more about the latest techniques and innovations, equipment and developments in the sector, while turning the attention of manufacturers and timber merchants to sustainable resources and renewable and the desire to not be a reason to increase the environmental issues. The exhibition will be a unique platform to discuss future trends in the sector through the collection of companies and construction contractors, manufacturers and designers from all around the region.



Dawood Al Shezawi, CEO of Strategic Exhibitions, the organizing company said: "Dubai is a commercial hub for the Middle East and a breeding ground for the wood industry globally, through the Dubai International Wood & Wood Machinery Show which is held for the seventh year in a row, we are brining to the industry the opportunity to displays its latest innovations and related technologies to this sector.”

" he added.


This year exhibition will include national pavilions of 22 countries such as
UAE, Germany, France, Austria, Italy and the United States, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Ghana, Canada, Spain and Turkey, which will reinforce the status of the exhibition among the largest events in the regional trade sector.



This year edition of the exhibition will focus on the "sustainability of wood in construction", through discussions and seminars to raise awareness of this aspect and to be a distinct event platform that will contribute to the visitors understanding not only for the environment, but also about the industry legal aspect.



“The Dubai of wood has achieved tremendous growth over the past seven years, as we grow from 75 exhibitors representing 15 countries in 2006 to more than 250 exhibitors from 30 countries or more last year, and this year we are witnessing significant growth in the number of participants and exhibitors to 420 global company from 34 countries.” Shezawi said



‘Dubai International Wood 2012’ will review the latest products and techniques for "MDF" woods and double solid wood and white wood, hardwood floors, parquet and equipment used in the wood manufacturing, also various of tools, accessories, supplies, paints and all services and related products.



This year show is also supported by many institutions and specialized councils in the area of timber, including the American Council on the export of hardwood (AHEC), the French Council of the timber, Malaysian Timber Council, and other international councils. Among the companies are also a number of names from the
UAE and the Gulf including the group Nibras, an importer and distributor known for its wood products and at the forefront of UAE companies operating in the area are receiving suppliers and buyers from across the region.
