FormaCare, an organisation created in early 2005 to represent the interests of formaldehyde manufacturers and users, is to hold the second International Formaldehyde Science Conference in Madrid on 19 and 20 April 2012. The event will have two parts. A symposium organised by Formacare on the first day will be entitled Local and Systematic Effects of Formaldehyde - Toxicity and Carcinogenicity. FormaCare and the European Panel Federation (EPF) have planned a joint workshop entitled Exposure Limits and Susceptible Populations on the second day, which will cover issues including formaldehyde levels in indoor air and possible guideline values.
