Alno AG has founded the subsidiary Alno USA in order to develop the North American markets. Managing director is Lothar Birkenfeld, who worked in the USA for a long time for Poggenpohl and Allmilmö. Birkenfeld only returned to Allmilmö at the beginning of 2009 as CEO and president Allmilmö USA, which at that time had only recently been set up. He had already worked for Allmilmö from 1975 to 1996 and subsequently was president of Poggenpohl US for 13 years.
