Spain wood products producer spots Romania as part of its investments (23/04/2012)

 

 

Grupo Empresarial Ence SA, (ENCE), Spain-based company engaged in the wood industry, runs talks  with forest funds and competitors interested in buying the forest,  according to Reuters, quoting El Economista local newspaper. According to their data, the company has also identified potential markets to invest in, such as Romania, Poland, Chile and Peru. Recently, the company was announced in El Economista publication that it plans to sell part of a forest property located in Uruguay to cut debt and continue paying a dividend, according to the company’s CEO, Ignacio de Colmenares. Ence specializes in the production of the cellulose pulp and solid wood products, as well as in the production of biomass-fuelled renewable energy in Spain. The Company operates through three business divisions, Forestry, Pulp and Energy, running through the latest, generation of renewable energy with forest biomass. ENCE operates three industrial complexes (production centers and power generation mills) in Spain, in Huelva, Navia and Pontevedra. The company distributes its products domestically and abroad, mainly in Germany, Spain, Italy and France.
