Central European decor printers continue to face a shortage of orders. Order intake, which has long fallen short of expectations, has stabilised at March’s level at best over the past few weeks. A few printers saw a further decline in sales volumes in February and March. The situation is not expected to alter significantly in the second quarter and over the summer months, either. A few companies even feel that business might weaken further. The key problems continues to lie in the ongoing slump on a number of markets in Central, Western and Southern Europe, which is overshadowing actually slightly better trends in Austria, Germany and Switzerland.
