Companies belonging to the Swedish Karlit group filed a bankruptcy application with a court in Uppsala after restructuring attempts made in recent weeks led down a dead-end street. A court-led reorganisation (Företagsrekonstruktion) had already been sought for the group’s MDF manufacturer Karlit and the furniture and furniture components producers Kadax Produktion and Dax Door Produktion on 25 June. These companies did not have to pay interest or make repayments during these proceedings. Karlit Group Holding, Furusnickerier i Järvsö and Furuspecialen were not directly affected at first. However, the bankruptcy application now covers these companies too.
