The Swedish company Södra Timber is to raise its drying capacity in Värö by adding another progressive kiln from the Swedish drying technology specialist Valutec. Södra is thus creating the conditions to switch from two to three-shift operations at the mill during the third quarter of 2013. The proposed increase in output is ultimately linked to the need for more drying capacity, which is to be met by installing a new progressive dryer.
