The German door manufacturer Hörmann was poised to acquire all shares in the interior door producer Huga on 31 December 2012. An agreement to this effect was signed with Huga‘s owners, the Gaisendrees family, in mid-December. Huga‘s 286 workers were informed about the divestment plans at a staff meeting on 17 December. However, the take-over still had to be approved by competition authorities. An application was filed with the German Federal Cartel Office.
