An initial decision has meanwhile been reached in the cartel proceedings conducted by the Polish cartel authorities against the wood-based panel manufacturers Kronospan Szczecinek, Kronospan Mielec, Kronopol, Pfleiderer Grajewo and Pfleiderer Prospan. The proceedings have been underway since 30 March 2012. According to the cartel authortities, a cartel penalty to the amount of PLN13.7m (equivalent to €3.4m) has been imposed on Kronopol, which belongs to Krono Group Switzerland, on account of price agreements with its distributors.
