The Latvian birch plywood producer Latvijas Finieris has opened another sales office in Turkey at the end of last year. The company says the decision to found the new company, which does business as Riga Wood Orman Ürünleri, was due to the sharp rise in demand for birch plywood in Turkey in the last few years. As a result, Turkey has become the fifth most important sales market for Latvijas Finieris. Moreover, the company expects further growth in Turkey over the coming years. The Turkish office will also handle birch plywood sales to neighbouring countries, as do the company's other sales of-fices.
