The two German sawmill organisations VDS and BSHD are merging to form a common association named Deutsche Säge- und Holzindustrie (DSH). At the meetings of members held simultaneously by the two sawmilling associations, on 15 November in Eltville-Kloster Eberbach the respective members voted in favour of the merger between their associations with effect from 1 January. The new statutes as well as the new membership fee regulations, were voted in favour of with only two abstentions.
