Following the meanwhile largely completed modernisation of the Wittenförden production plant in Germany, Menck Fenster is preparing a major investment project in the US city of Newport. Here, the company and its two US partners Bill Stenger and Bodo Liesenfeld are planning to invest a total of some $20m building a new window factory. The bulk of the funds earmarked for the investment project are to be raised through the US economic development scheme EB-5. The window factory is to be built on an area of some 40,000 sqft in an existing production hall and go into service in the first half of 2014 with approximately 100 employees.
