Swedish forestry firms buy more forwarders than expected 30/01/2013

335 forwarders were newly registered in Sweden last year, according to the Swedish road traffic authorities. As such, sales in Sweden exceeded expectations slightly last year. Seeing as sales had been down in the first seven months, representatives of machines producers had expected only 300-310 forwarders to be sold in Sweden in 2012. However, several producers subsequently saw their sales figures improving as the second half-year progressed. Business was particularly strong towards the year’s end. However, sales figures in 2012 were bolstered by sales promotions and discounts as well as an increasing acceptance of used machines for trade-in.
