In the fourth quarter of 2012, Nobia generated an operating profit of SKR195m after adjustment for extraordinary items. The group reports that expectations were therefore considerably exceeded, with all regions contributing to the improvement. In this connection, Nobia issued a positive profit warning on 21 January 2013, a good three weeks prior to publication of its annual report for 2012. The better-than-expected trend in the adjusted result is attributed by Nobia in particular to the contribution made through the restructuring of the French retail chain “Hygena”.
